Nevada Public Lands.

There seems to be a false narrative among teens that there is not many places to experience the natural world in Nevada. It is important to experience the wonder of what we are working to protect so luckily for us that narrative is false! Around 67% (48 million acres) of Nevada is public land. Take advantage of one of the highest percentages of public land in the nation and get out there!

Northern: Pershing, Humboldt, Elko, Eureka, & Lander Counties

  • Ruby Mountains Wilderness (Humboldt–Toiyabe National Forest)  | Elko

  • Black Rock Desert Wilderness and Conservation Area  | Humboldt

Western (Tahoe): Washoe, Storey, Douglas, Lyon, & Carson City Counties

  • Sand Harbor State Park  | Washoe
