Say NO to Steve Pearce for BLM Director

Published March 2026

Voice your concerns about whose hands the future of public lands is in.

Former New Mexico Congressman Steve Pearce has earned the nickname "Sell-off Steve" due to his record of support for selling public lands and his connection to the oil and gas sector as a former oilfield services business owner. As Director of the Bureau of Land Management, he would manage the public land we use.

Tell our Nevada senators to not vote for Pearce to be confirmed as the Director of the BLM when the vote comes to the senate floor.

  • Include your personal connection to public lands in your message.

  • Include a 'Thank You' to Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto for voting against Pearce in the initial advancement vote in the Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee.

  • Write "'Vote No'/'Oppose'/'No to' Steve Pearce for BLM Director" as the subject line.

USE YOUR VOICE.

You are not too young to have your voice enact change. Email, call, or visit your elected officials to express your opposition to potential or passed legislation or to suggest new initiatives. Your elected officials are here to serve you, so don't be afraid! Instead, take advantage of an easy yet impactful way of taking action.
